Multi-Radical Search How To

  1. Select a dictionary
  2. Check how many kanji appear in your word (optional)
e.g. 引く is 1, 辞書 is 2, 七人の侍 is 3, 和英辞典 is 4, 原子力潜水艦 is 5+.
Check multiple numbers if you are not sure.
  3. Check kanji patterns appearing in your word (optional)
These are SKIP number based patterns:
    1 e.g. 明測辞和艦 (left-right, SKIP number 1)
    2 e.g. 楽英男黒茶 (top-bottom, SKIP number 2)
    3 e.g. 囲近症風区 (enclosure, SKIP number 3)
    4 e.g. 耳子中女丸 (solid, SKIP number 4)
  4. Select radicals (elements) appearing in your word
    e.g. To find 和英辞典 select: 禾 from 和, ⺾ from 英, 舌 from 辞 and ハ from 典.
Tip: Selecting one element from each kanji in order that they appear in the word (one element from the first character then one element from second character instead of randomly picking elements) will give better results.
